Let’s cut to the chase and tell you how to find the best things to sell on eBay.

1. Head over to eBay pulse. This delivers a snapshot of the eBay marketplace. eBay Pulse features top 10 popular searches, popular stores, popular products and those with highest price.

2. You’ll be presented with the “popular searches” on the left hand side. The top 10 in the UK is currently: U K, cars, UK, next, mobile phones, laptop, river island, wii games, topshop and xbox 360 games.

3. This list is OK, but far too generic. Click on the category drop down list, let’s choose “Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles”. We’re presented with this list:

1. left hand drive lhd

2. cars

3. spares or repair

4. classic cars

5. mini

6. bmw

7. mercedes

8. range rover

9. vans

10. vauxhall corsa

Ebay Selling Tips

Notice what’s a position number 10 “Vauxhall Corsa”. You could do a search for cheap “Vauxhall Corsa’s” in your area, buy low and then place on eBay to sell high. Note: Best time to finish a car auction is Sunday afternoon, giving the buyer enough time to collect.

Unfortunately, 99% of people that read this article won’t follow this simple but effective strategy, which is a shame. Let’s hope you’ll be a little more daring! I write several articles a month and most of them are written to either grow my list or sell an affiliate program or both. I started promoting the “copy xbox games” and “fix your xbox” niche which has been relatively successful. Now, by relatively I mean I could have sold more!

Let Me Explain

When writing articles about not techie stuff my conversion rate hits around 2-3%, so for every 100 visitors that visit my squeeze page 2-3 will actually sign up or buy something. When promoting a tech item or anything to do with affiliate marketing, Internet marketing etc, my stats slide at an alarming rate. If anything I get even more click thrus with these type of products but less sales

When I analysed the results I believe I’m losing sales by people replacing my clickbank hop link and replacing it with their own.

This Is Nothing New

Now you’re probably saying that this is “nothing new”. However, I also tested how big the “affiliate” link was (at the bottom of clickbank product sales pages). The smaller the link the more sales I made, and I made 100% more sales when there wasn’t an affiliate link on the sales page at all. Now this astonished me.

Some Advice:

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t promote clickbank products. Jeez, I make a good income promoting them through articles. What I’m saying is be careful which ones you promote.

I Now:

1. Promote non techie items, unless it’s a new techie product that’s come out into the marketplace. (Writing reviews for new products is a great strategy for people new to affiliate marketing and I’ll go over this more in future posts)

2. Promote clickbank products with no affiliate link at all. These are generally squeeze pages, or products where you can only become an affiliate once you’ve purchased the product. (normally on high ticket items).

3. Produce my own copy cat product aka:

With that model I use:

The ‘Reverse Selection’ Blueprint by Chris Rempel http://www.thelazymarketer.com I basically produce a copycat product and sell it exclusively from my own sales page and website. This is highly lucrative and in future posts I’ll go into more detail. In fact once I started doing this, my sales have quadrupled with the same amount of effort.

4. Promote products that people will actually pull out their credit cards to purchase. For example, the term “goldfish diseases” gets over 12000 views a month and it’s a niche that’s easy to dominate. However, when you look at the stats more carefully these people are actually information seekers and don’t buy products that often on this topic. Hence, why it’s important to look for the Online Commercial Intention on a product before you start promoting it or producing a product for it.

In Summary

Again, go ahead and promote all the products you want on clickbank. There’s clearly money to be made here (even if it’s not your own product). Just be careful which ones you promote.

In this post we’re are gonna look at how you can work on How To Create A Turnkey Business Opportunity Online.

A Membership Site:

If you want to create a business online and even better make it turnkey, you’re gonna have to put a couple of things in place first.  You need to create some substantial online business systems in order to create efficiencies so that a minimum of your time is required for this business.  Before I go on, let me stress that this is gonna take up quite a bit of your time initially. For example, if you ventured into the membership website market which is a really good earner, and is a great example. My own membership site is still under construction simply because I want to get things right. However, I’m still collecting prospects names and and addresses while it’s being built for me.

To give you an example, Honor Hart has a really good website that’s called “The Make Money Shop“

Don’t worry, this membership site is totally free and you get access to over 1000 ebooks and software. Take a look at the site since it’s a great example of a set it and forget. I reckon Honor probably updates this site once a month.

A membership site, whether it’s on potty training, selling plr ebooks/articles, weight loss etc etc is a great example of a turnkey business. In essence, this is a model that you only have to worry about updating maybe once or twice a month once its been produced. Admittedly, it’s gonna take a lot of work to get there in reference to producing, marketing it and selling subscriptions. But once it’s set up it’s really easy to run.

Outsource Simple Tasks Once You’ve Set It Up

You can outsource all maintenance on the website to developers or a web host who you pay monthly fees to.  The content of the website could also be developed by freelance writers who you will contract out to.

Places like guru.com and scriptlance.com are fantastic places to get software designers and developers. Once this is done, the only thing that you are left with is ensuring that you market the site so that you can continue to develop new members which will raise the amount of income that you realize every month.

If things are going really well you can even employ somebody on a part time basis to work on the marketing of the site from their home. This will leave you precious time to explore another turnkey business. You’d need to apply different marketing techniques to promote the site such as article writing, blog posting, and building your own list to market to.

Another good way at creating an online turnkey business opportunity could be working with someone who develops and maintains the website while you provide financial backing.  This is an arrangement that you could work out with someone else so they became equal partners.  This would allow you to make money without having to use any of your time or other resources because you have someone else doing that for you.

Affiliate Programs

One of the most popular forms of creating a turnkey business is developing an affiliate program that’s offered through either clickbank.com, paydotcom or affiliateprograms.com.  Once you’ve developed your website as well as a product, it will be up to the affiliates to promote these products. If done correctly, this is a seriously powerful way of creating a turnkey business online, building your list, getting your name out there and making some $$$.

Once you’ve produced your own product you’ll need to market your product to would-be affiliates that would be happy to do all of the legwork for you, from building hubpages to setting up squidoo lenses. You’ll probably have to give up 50% of the money made on the product and in some cases even 100%. But trust me, this is worth it!

Each of the ways that we’ve looked at today can work incredibly well if you take the time to develop a product or website.  There’s astonishing stat that 95% of people wanting an online business will never even start one on an even basic level. This is sad, but leaves more opportunity for the ones that try. My advice would be get started today, even if it’s writing your own eBook in a particular niche. Just get started! Over time you’ll be rewarded for it.

Now please don’t get me wrong here. I’ve got absolutely no problem with Turkeys apart from they can be a little dry.

Sorry, back to the point……………….You may or may not have a niche marketing website that just isn’t cutting it for you. Trust me I’ve been there, and every new product I produce for my eBay store is a crouch behind the sofa moment. Maybe your product isn’t producing any income for you at all or you haven’t actually figured out that what you are selling is, in fact, a niche market product. I’ve often found that you may need to do a little ‘tweaking’ and modify your strategies somewhat to get the site performing better. Now, I’m not saying this is easy, but it’s definitely possible!

Let me show you…………

Step #1: The famous entertainer and comedian Bill Cosby once said,

“I don’t know what the secret of success is, but I know the secret of failure and that was trying to please everybody.”

Mr Cosby was absolutely right. You see, you just can’t please everyone and you can’t sell to everyone either. It’s impossible. I’ve tried and failed more times that I care to write about here in this blog It’s possible that you may simply need to narrow you market, identify your product as a niche marketing product and advertise it accordingly.

I’m not gonna lie to you hear. I’m very new to this Internet marketing game. Heck, my offline business is window cleaning which is about as far as you can get from IM. I’ve made a lot of costly mistakes, but I’ve learned from each and every one of them. One of the most valuable things I’ve learned is to keep improving on something. Whether it’s a product, website, blog, whatever.

Step #2: Sure, Des saying that I need to improve is one thing. How do I actually go about doing this?

Ask Your Readers/Subscribers

Improving your existing product is easy (he says tongue in cheek). Start off with a blank piece of paper and think about all of the things you may have overlooked. Trust me, this is the most obvious solution of all. Better still, if you’ve got a blog, why not simply ask your readers what they think? They are after all the end users/readers of the product or service that you’re selling. What I’ve found is that there’s nobody that knows how a product can be improved better than the people who are using the product or reading your material, period!

Ask Questions on Other People’s Blogs

Like most Internet marketers out there, I regularly write to my subscribers, pointing them back to this blog and updating them on the new products that have just come out. I also take the time to ask them questions just to gauge whether I’m going in the right direction on a particular product or service I’m offering. Some have even asked for some type of mentoring, and though I’m flattered, my own personal journey’s just begun in the IM world. I’m still learning myself, and with the help of my subscribers we can kind of learn together. So to summarise, ask your subscribers (if you have any) questions, or simply reply with a question on certain blog post. It works a treat.

Step #3: Analyze the competition. This is one thing I love to do on eBay, though not as much lately with all the changes going on etc etc blah blah blah same old eBay. Simply take the time and effort to look at the product or service that your competitors are offering and analyze the hell out of it!. Do a mini SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats) on them.  Find out what your competition can’t, won’t or doesn’t really like to do and set about doing those very things yourself.

Step #4: Last but not least. Do you think you’re selling your product at the right price? Yep, believe it or not you’re allowed to raise the price of your product even though your head is telling you not to. If you’re unsure, try testing it for a few days, I’d say around 5-7 days just to judge the reaction from your clients. What I’ve found is that if you price a product too low it makes people think it won’t be any good in comparison with the competition, though pricing too high will discourage them from buying it. You’ll need to test and tweak this theory.

Here’s how you can maximise your article marketing:

1.    Know your objectives. Before you even lay a finger on your keyboard, it’s best to know your purpose on writing your articles. Are you going to distribute them online? Are you going to post them on your website? Are you going to use them on your newsletters? Or are you considering compiling them to create a viral marketing tool such as an ebook? You’ll need to make sure your article content is lazer focused and highly targeted to the needs and demands of your readers so you can earn their trust and eventually lure them to act on your favor. Ensure that you offer them with information that they will find useful in their lives and that you write your articles using their preferred writing style and choice of words. Make these people happy with your content and you can be assured that you’ll get all the benefits that article writing can offer.

3.    Think SEO. Search engine optimization is very important for all those people who would like to dominate the online arena. For your articles to show up on relevant searches, you must know how to determine the best keywords to use on your content and how you can strategically place them all throughout your articles. You must also know how to follow the appropriate keyword density so you will not be banned for keyword spamming. If you are posting your articles on your website or blogs, you must know how to use relevant HTML tags so search spiders can easily index your content.

One of the best ebooks on the market has been written by a guy called Josh Spaulding called Article Marketing Domination. This guy is the daddy of article marketing and trust me, you won’t go wrong by following his advice!
